Fasting: Why do we need it?

In ancient teachings, it’s known that life is “cyclical”

It is evident in all existence and creation, nature, planets, the human body – all life is connected in the cyclical universe.

The body is connected to the cyclical nature, solar cycles, lunar cycles, earth cycles – the very essence of the physical existence is cyclical including our birth and death. Sadly, we lost the connection to cyclical living as we made huge advancements in our evolutionary process.

According to the mystic traditions, if one is in tune with their own body – heart, gut, psyche and intuition, one can tap into the cyclical nature of their life and attune to their biology creating healthy and resilient working systems in their functioning as well as tune into a higher order of consciousness.

We can become a master of intellectual property, study and read everything under the sun and accumulate knowledge however unless we attune to our biology, all knowledge will remain as information.

Rule of the thumb when it comes to upgrading our body, mind spirit is in the experience such as fasting. If you are wondering how to reconnect to the cyclical nature of your body, start with fasting regularly to increase capacity over time and reunite with your inner wisdom.

If you feel too far out, disconnected beyond the point of no return – look into microdosing psilocybin/plants (in the right context) to help you come home.

Disclaimer: Please do your research before diving into the ancient practices especially fasting – denying your body from water and food can be detrimental when there’s no psychological support.

The group processes are the best in exploring a new practice as it provides a safe container and support – join us on the weekend group fasting challenge!

New Kid On The Block

From clean eating, fasting, movement to mindfulness, there’s a new kid on the block – microdosing psilocybin!

Much is said these days about healing and transformation, and the promised clarity and peace as the outcome of the inner journey.

We want to heal but we don’t want to look within. We want to feel fully alive, but we don’t want to be vulnerable. This is so understandable and so human but it doesn’t seem to always work like that as trauma and relational wounding affect our capacity to feel safe, intimate, and connected with life.

We are now at the crossroads in understanding the nature of our responses to the traumatic organisation in the psyche and the nervous system and we now know that we cannot think our way out of the deeply ingrained coping mechanisms, unconscious self-sabotage, doubt, fear and the need for experiential process in healing and lasting change is at a critical point in these unprecedented times.

Microdosing psilocybin fast becoming a contemporary tool offering experiential, embodied, emotionally attuned inner work providing a safe passage within to release shadow material that has caused so much suffering.

And the group processes provide a safe container for the individuals to open up to their despair, grief, anger and uncertainty allowing space to connect, co-regulate and make sense together at perceptual, somatic and transpersonal levels.

The fourth and the final 6-week Reset Microdosing Program for this year is now open for enrolment!!

Join us, let’s embark on a sacred alchemical process with fierce grace.

Microdosing for Healing Trauma

Microdosing isn’t just for achieving optimal results in health and well-being. According to World Health Org the cost of adverse developmental trauma is $1.33 trillion for US and Europe per year.

Early trauma shifts the trajectory of brain development as trauma is often organized around being a survivor and maintaining basic safety in relation to others, leading to re-traumatizing and disheartening repetitions, preventing growth, disrupting basic awareness of emotional state, consequently leading to substance abuse, eating disorder, behavioural issues, higher risk for many health problems, difficulty in personal and professional development.

And microdosing opens the individual up to a deeper realisation of their suppressed micro and macro traumas when used in a trauma-informed, group process with support and guidance. Microdosing allows the person to experience themselves and see things that they would not see in under normal circumstances, creating a window of opportunity for new insights that elicit psychological transformation.

“Suppressed energy doesn’t go away, and cannot be destroyed. It needs to move, to become, to transmute; it must find an expression. In this way, unconscious material rises again and again to the surface, seeking to be met, detoxed, and clarified. Until trauma has been acknowledged, felt, and released, it will be experienced from without in the form of repetition compulsion and projection and from within as tension and contraction, reduction of life flow, illness or disease.”

Ignorance in our true nature of the self is one of the greatest causes of suffering and the antidote to suffering is the connection to our somatic intelligence. The traumas that we chronically carry informs the way we inhabit our bodies, how we walk, how we stand, how we talk and how we are in our bodies.

Microdosing psilocybin is a trauma-informed, deep self-work into a life-changing, embodied process with efficacy, offering lasting personal transformation. While a high dose of Psychedelic experience produces spiritual openings, it is a known fact that the ineffable transpersonal experiences can fade away and inner work remains untouched. With microdosing, the subtle transcendent states help us connect with our nervous system leading to somatic healing by increasing the inner connection that helps us acknowledge, process, and release the pain and traumas that are held in our bodies.

Trauma is the hidden pandemic infecting humans and we cannot know our trauma until there’s an opening – microdosing is a powerful tool in creating the opening when used in the right set, setting and context.

“The body will always tell the truth.”

Trauma-Informed Group Microdosing

Group microdosing; a collective journey for embodied transformation

People don’t need more gurus, more books, more information, people need communities, group processes, supportive environments, a safe container to get out of their heads and drop into their bodies to become more authentic, embodied and emotionally integrated human.

As adults, we are expected to self-regulate; that is, be in control of our thoughts, emotions, and physiologies and Neuroscience shows that humans develop their abilities for emotional self-regulation through connections.

According to Dr Bessel van der Kolk, “at the core of traumatic stress is the breakdown in the capacity to regulate internal states” and in most cases, self-regulation is a myth because we can only self-regulate to an extent that we were co-regulated as children.

Co-regulation is a skill that is missing for many of us growing up by the caregivers in early emotional development to help us self-regulate.

The term co-regulation simply is a process where one nervous system calms another, producing a feedback loop that is soothing for both. And co-regulation can take many forms such as authentic sharing, open communications, acknowledging the other, supportive silence, invitation to reflective problem-solving, active listening, showing care, kindness and compassion.

There are trends in the self-improvement field that are addictive, destructive and people are detached, disconnected from almost every aspect of their lives, disconnected from the food they eat, disconnected from their relationship, disconnected from the tasks they are engaged in, disconnected from themselves and continually chasing an idealistic image far out in the future, unreachable, unrealistic, impulse-driven and toxic to the mind-body-spirit. We live in a time that supports individualism, codependency, a borderline culture that suppresses our innate, inner tribalism, social wiring and the need for authentic connections with our fellow humans.

Rick Doblin, (founder of MAPS Canada, a leading psychedelic research organisation) plans to launch a group process with psilocybin therapy to optimise results. This is breaking news among psychedelic communities and also reaffirming for us to continue offering group microdosing processes that have been super successful in achieving optimal results since January.

“We must co-regulate to self-regulate”

The Silent Pandemic; Mental Health Crises

Art by Januz Miralles

Covid has left many with PTSD. The cost of exposure to natural disasters and extreme life-threatening events is devastating. We’re facing an equally severe increase in addiction, depression, anxiety and suicide.

Covid mental health crises is an opportunity for some of the private organisations that offer alternative treatments with psychedelics under the umbrella of scientific research; however, due to price, policies and regulations, these treatments are not available to those who are in need most. In reality, the most vulnerable individuals cannot afford the cutting edge, emerging alternative psychedelic treatments offered privately, and the majority are not aware of the availability.

We are witnessing an increase in demand for underground psychedelic facilities that may not be equipped to deal with such complex mental health conditions of the post-pandemic mental health crisis and psychedelics for self-administration on the rise despite many risks due to desperation.

Psychedelic are powerful alternatives in healing, recovery and self-exploration; however, we may be entering into dangerous waters without education and integrating a psychedelic therapy process offered in a safe environment.

At the peak of unprecedented times, we must take responsibility and care when using psychedelics. We are once again faced with building a relationship with psychedelics and currently scientific research is in full swing as well as the citizens science – people are taking the matter into their own hands. According to many expert researchers, the future of the mental health crisis heavily dependent upon psychedelics and the most important aspect of the psychedelic renaissance depends on us; we must approach with utmost maturity, resposnsibility and move forward with respect and integrity.

The future is psychedelics.

Noetic Truth

Art by Laura H. Rubin

Noetic from the Greek Noesis/Noetikos meaning inner wisdom, implicit understanding, intuition or direct knowing and noetic truth is ever-evolving as we begin to engage in deep self-work despite ever-expanding knowledge about our physical world.

According to Dr Edgar Mitchell, humans understand their inner world from instinct to intuition to intellect using multiple ways to gather information. When Dr Mitchell encountered a profound mystical experience from the window of his space capsule as an astronaut, he realised that in order to explain such extraordinary experiences there would need to be a new framework to interpret the wisdom of the ages to transcend the materialistic worldview. He called this framework noetic sciences.

Noetic sciences is a multidisciplinary field of study that brings objective scientific tools and techniques together with subjective inner knowing to study the nature of reality.

“Noetic refers to states of insight into depths of truth unplumbed by the discursive intellect. They are illuminations, revelations, full of significance and importance, all inarticulate though they remain; and as a rule they carry with them a curious sense of authority…”

What About The Heart and Gut Plasticity?

We have enough scientific evidence about the brain plasticity; a shift in our internal state within a supportive external environment creates new neurological pathways that change the brain improving quality of life.

Unfortunately, not all of us have access to such a process due to experiencing highly toxic stress internally and externally, such as primal/developmental trauma that leads to toxic working environments and relationships.

Interestingly, we seem to be obsessed with brain science and plasticity, what about the heart and gut plasticity???

There is a growing body of literature that head, heart and gut aspects of embodied cognition can be the solution for the common issue of disconnection from our essence in western life.

Good news is, microdosing psilocybin promises untapped potential in brain, heart and gut plasticity as close to a “reset” button.

We have entered a time in history that we need to learn to look at the inner workings of our organism as a whole; intrinsically sophisticated and interconnected in ways that we still cannot comprehend.

And somehow, psilocybin knows how to unite not only our head, heart and gut but also individually as a part of the greater collective organisation.

Ditch Enlightenment, Choose Self-awareness

Art by Patty Maher

“The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.”

In the field of self-work, self-awareness is the key and you will be continually guided every moment through symbolic images and metaphorical manifestations to grow in awareness.

All life and consciousness is ever-expanding, evolving and strive to move forward, caught in the momentum of the cosmic rhythm of continuous expansion.

To think that we are not part of this symphony and that we are separate is the greatest disservice to our micro-evolution within the emergence of the collective cosmic dance.

To believe that we’ve arrived, and this is all there is and that we’re awake and the work is done – is the real curse of the modern world.

To know that we don’t know and that we have limitations is a way to yield a grounded process in self-work.

To wear humility as a cloak is the foreground of larger opening to the mystical, initiation into mythic depths of the consciousness. A deeper awareness and understanding will emerge of the symbolic nature that occurs, and we will come to know the value of self-work instead of labelling it as repetitive obstacles and challenges.

To become aware is the breakthrough of the absolute conditions of our wiring. To become aware is a step into the wonder, curiosity where we encounter forces that lead us to new levels of dimensions. A new appreciation will be found in self-awareness, inner harmony, flow, a dissolution of arrogance, self-righteousness, self-importance.

Self-awareness allows us to pay attention to the unspoken, the unseen, recognise the signs through the eye of a humble mind in our quest for inward awakening to our soul journey.

Before The Light There Was Sound

“Our biological rhythms are the symphony of the cosmos, sound embedded deep within us to which we dance, even when we can’t name the tune.“

Before the light, there was sound. Every culture that ever existed and exists has practiced sound as their rituals.

Sound is the natural law of resonance that restores the vibrational integrity of the body, mind and spirit.

In shamanic path, sound of the shamanic tools are integral part of the awakening process in activating intuition and inducing altered states of consciousness.

Sound as a therapy can be very powerful in self exploration, deepening awareness and connecting to parts of our human experience in existence.
